Hey heartbreakers!
Game's still in development, don't worry.

In each episode of Heartbreaker, there will be an intro cutscene where Kouhai meets that episode's rival, followed by a short sequence of Tanta speaking to Karma via the pager, and a setup to Tanta choosing her Plot. An end-of-episode cutscene will also play as Kouhai talks on the phone about what happened.
There will be another cutscene at the end of each Plot - the last few months have been spent chipping away at the Murder cutscene (which is about 75% finished), doing game tests and fixing dozens upon dozens of issues. It's worth mentioning that the Murder will always have longer cutscenes (ergo longer development time) than other Plots due to how they work.
I also learned some new audio tricks which I've implemented into the currently 600+ audio files in the game, and have found ways to optimize various systems.

I create all the art assets and do all the "programming" for this game myself, between my main art job which takes up most of my time, along with general responsibilities and daily personal struggles. The game receives no funding; Any money I'm able to put into it comes out-of-pocket, and goes almost exclusively into music and voice actors. Since my personal income took a MASSIVE nosedive over the last few months, that naturally slowed down development, as I've had to take on commissions just to be able to make rent & taxes. I CERTAINLY can't afford to hire an artist to help, especially after my assistant up & abandoned me some months ago.

While I'm not going to make the mistake of promising release ETAs, I will say I'm going to TRY to have the Murder update out sometime in August. It'll be playable to completion, just missing some backgrounds etc. that still haven't been done (such as some of the clubrooms, and High Street's 3D model still being largely unfinished).
