Usually virtual novels aren't my cup of tea, however in this particular case I really like being embraced by the aesthetics that have been crafted loyal to the technology of old. Especially with the interfaces and gameplay changing up regularly, I feel as if I'm handling different programs at once. It's truly as if an old game maximised the possibilities of its time. The ambitiously branched story lines already give a promising impression of what's about to come, and with its quality art it stands out from the generic VN games that I had so far commonly associated with the genre. Another plus for me is the British cast for the voice acting; something I've always wanted to hear for anime. Give this one a try, because it's really growing quite a soul.
The nostalgia vibe is real with this one. The bitcrushed music and sound effects coupled with pixelated artwork just feels so authentic, like I stepped back in time. Having more than one way to get to your end goal adds great replayability to it so you don't feel restricted in your gameplay. It's ironically a love letter to romance visual novels, but turned on its head. You're not sure if you want a happy ending out of this or not or if you even can achieve that. It keeps you guessing, and that's worth your time for sure.
Even at its current Alpha build, there is something very unique here. And it's definitely a game for any fans of Yandere Simulator or visual novels. I can't wait to see what the next build will bring out and I'll definitely be playing this game over and over.
